We’re opening all three Artspace Lifespace projects over three weekends in October! Enjoy an exhibition, take a class, have a laugh and find out what our artists have been creating.
Comedy Night 14th October
The People’s Comedy have been training some people from under-represented backgrounds to join the comic circuit this night will, in-part, be a showcase of their work.
Tenants’ Exhibition 14th – 16th Oct
The Island Artists’ Exhibition in The Island Gallery. Launching on Friday the 14th, 10 – 4 pm.
Art, Live 15th October
Join six Bristol based artists as they combine each of their unique practices to create a one-off performance.
Live music, painting, projected illustration, life drawing and drag.
‘No Dress Rehearsal’ Film Showing
11:00-12:40 & 13:00-14:40 Basement Venue. See the beginnings of the Island when it was first occupied by Artspace Lifespace 15 years ago. Entry is Free but donations to the filmmakers’ Patreon will be requested.
Nightspace, 15th October
The Island Venue Presents a night of Funk & Soul, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, D&B, Jungle & Heavyweight Bangers to celebrate our new permanent premises license. Tickets via Headspace.
Island Open Studios
On the 15th and 16th October, 10 – 4pm, Island artist tenants will be throwing open their doors and inviting you to view their work.
Arts Mansion Open Day
The 1st October saw a party on the lawn with circus skills, live music and a climbing wall.
The Vestibules Open Day
On the 8th October we welcomed the public to enjoy print workshops, exhibitions and performance.
