ÂELLIN – 7th April

ÂELLIN bring Ambient Folk music to Ashton Court, in an intimate mansion-house concert. A rare opportunity to experience moving new sounds in experimental folk music, set in the stunning long hall of the Grade I listed Ashton Court Manor.

Bristol-based three piece ÂELLIN bring narrative songwriting, rooted in traditional folkmusic to the fore, whilst weaving in experimental elements to create cinematic soundscapes.These moving, emotive spheres of sound are cast with a plethora of organic and textural instrumentation, including double bass, cello, jazz chordal harmony and warming sub-bass.

Visiting from Lithuania, special guest Jausmė brings the kanklės (a traditional Lithuanian 29-stringed zither-harp) and her extraordinary song-craft. Jausmė will perform music from the album Namolio (en. Homeward), released in March 2022, which ruminates on her journey back home, through losses and discoveries, realisations and unlearning
