Sewing Room Memberships Available

Need more space for your sewing projects? 
In addition to various sewing and pattern cutting courses, The Sewing Room at The Island offers monthly memberships available for both professionals and budding amateurs. Whether you are looking for something a few hours a week to work on your hobby or wanting to work from the studio more regularly to develop your professional practice there are a range of part time and full time memberships available.
The room set up is ideal for fashion and stitched textile designers, pattern cutters, machinists and costumiers. Members can benefit from the shared working space and resources and have opportunities to work creatively together and learn from each other.
Whether you are a keen amateur,  just starting out or already have a small business up and running, memberships are available to suit your needs. With part-time monthly membership starting at just £48 per month it’s an affordable way to gain access to professional resources and large studio space based in central Bristol. 
Members can benefit from the following shared resources :

– 2 Fully automated Jack Industrial straight stitch machines

– 3 domestic Brother sewing machines

– 1 industrial overlocker

– 2 domestic overlockers

– 1 large cutting table, several smaller pattern cutting tables and workbenches for domestic machines

– Powerful Steam iron (with seprate water tank)- Kennet and Linsell professional dress stand ( UK size 12 )- Shared Google calendar for studio and resource booking – Personal storage space for work in progress. – 10 % off courses and workshops

– Wifi
