Wild Combinations Art – Emily Jacobs
Emily Jacobs is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Bristol, she utilises paints, screen prints and illustration to create visual imagery of many kinds. Emily’s works are vivid and complex explorations of the language of pencil and paint – colour, texture and brushstroke. She works intuitively on paper and canvas, with gestural mark making and layers built upon layers, each piece a journey of searching for balance and meaning out of of chaotic beginnings. Familiar themes of people, still life, animals and nature are abstracted and woven into her art, anchoring works that are driven by colour and process – the constant dance between careful consideration and playful abandon.
