The Search – An exhibition, 07 – 10/09

The Search is an artist’s journal, an obsessed dream about the sun, incorporating photography, video art, installation, and painting.

Over the course of two years, the artist Karina Matheus captured 2000 photographs of the sun and produced videos and paintings for an art project exploring the presence or absence of the sun in everyday British life. This project is particularly meaningful to her, as her roots and background trace back to sunny and warm cities such as Caracas (Venezuela), Miami (USA), and Rome (Italy).
